MORE ABOUT THIS JOB: WHAT DOES PRX DOProduction Runtime Experience PRX, a part of Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) in Core Engineering, builds products that help reduce the operational toil and focuses on production health transparency, diagnostics and resolution, production management and business continuity. The technical stack typically comprises big data processing, machine learning, real-time streaming analytics and simplified visualization/interaction to give computer systems the ability to learn and automate many of the tasks that humans would normally perform manually to run the banks systems. This is achieved through sophisticated engineering; autonomics and machine learning that statistically and inductively help understand the behavior of these complex systems.We are looking to expand our team of product managers to continue our focus in applying a product mentality to the way we build our products. ABOUT YOUR ROLEOur Product Managers lead the products through the whole product lifecycle. This includes validating problems using appropriate analysis techniques, designing solutions and driving adoption across the firm. Our Product managers determine the right thing to build and will need to work cross functionally, across design, user experience, engineering, end users and senior stakeholders. Product managers lead and strongly contribute to solution design, story mapping, product showcase, Objectives and key results formulation, and participate actively in technical approaches that affect the product outcome. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for one or more products in PRX and focus on increasing engagement with our clients and understand their problems in the product space. You will be very focused on outcomes, identifying, tracking, analyzing and owning the product roadmap.HOW YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFULEngage with users to develop an understanding of the most important problems to be solvedCollaborate effectively with design and engineering peers to lead product developmentCreate artefacts such as product vision, roadmaps and memos to effectively engage and align stakeholdersSet product goals, demonstrate strong ownership of outcomes, and promote long term value to clientsCommunicate actively using multiple forums across all levels of stakeholders to aid transparency in progress, prioritization, feedback and adoptionEngage with and influence stakeholders outside direct control to advance product objectivesBreakdown complex problems to smaller pieces of value, with an emphasis on creating backlogs that support the product roadmapDemonstrate strong facilitation skills by bringing together diverse set of engineering teams and users to solve problems in a timely mannerShow strong initiative in learning and improving knowledge about the problem domainDemonstrate thought leadership and influence outcomes by challenging status quo wherever applicableIdentify success criteria and use metrics to measure impact demonstrate agility to meet product goals RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:A bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher degree is preferred; overall 8-12 years of experienceDemonstrated success collaborating with design and engineering peers to lead a product development teamAt least 2 years of full cycle product management experience, including experience executing the product vision, design, and adoption strategyDemonstrated ability to engage with users, understand complex problems and technical architecturesExperienced in collaborating with design and engineering peers when designing solutions and building productsProven ability to influence cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership without direct authorityExceptional written and in-person communication skills and ability to adapt message based on audienceComfortable with Agile processes, backlog management and in using SDLC toolsAttention to detail, analytical skills and tenacious in setting high product quality standardsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research, competitive analysis of products and customer supportExperience in managing an entire product's lifecycle, from conception to launchFamiliar with machine learning and data products would be added advantage ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS: Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of services worldwide to a substantial and diversified client base which includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high net-worth individuals.
