The product teams are key enablers of our success, immersing themselves in every aspect of the product development lifecycle from strategy ideation to launch execution and everything in between. Job Duties and Responsibilities: What you will be doingWe are seeking a strategic technical advisor to oversee the product development program for all connected device products across our new Retail Wireless division, such as M2M, IoT and embedded modules. The successful Engineering Product Manager, Connected Devices will manage the technology roadmap, certification requirements and test execution for the portfolio to ensure devices are efficiently incorporated into the active product development roadmap. In this role, you will:Manage relationships with connected device OEMs on a day-to-day basis, communicating progress on product development and certification activities while coordinating bidirectional feedback to questions or requests between DISH and device OEM;Broker scope and budget for any technology trial activities and negotiate support with connected device OEMs, as needed;Develop test tools, frameworks and methodologies to deliver high quality product solutions;Facilitate requirements publication to connected device OEMs;Manage all non- and partial-compliance waivers, negotiating and tracking scope and timeline until retirement. Skills, Experience and Requirements: Skills and ExperienceIdeal Engineering Product Manager, Connected Devices candidates have:Bachelors or masters in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent;Six or more years experience in mobile connected product management for third-party OEMs and mobile product certification processes;Three or more years of technical leadership in new feature development and roadmap management;Prior experience with third-party OEM product development and launch is required.
