Job Description : APD - PMWe are looking for a Product Manager who desires to excel in a fast-paced, cross-functional, team-based environment.As a Product Manager at Mitchell you will own a product line. You will lead all aspects of the softwares life cycle from development of new features and enhancements to go-to market and launch plans. You will be responsible for creating a product roadmap and vision, inspiring others to support your vision, and ultimately delivering products and services that are known for their robust customer-focused user experiences and innovative capabilities. You will additionally work in-person with marketing teams, sales personnel, and Mitchell customers to identify new software solutions. You will work with sales and service teams to communicate and train on new features and business processes. Finally, you will work with other product managers on portfolio strategy including aspects of financial analysis and forecasting for your specific product.Position Responsibilities:Conduct competitive analysis using internal, customer, and market data identify industry trends and unmet user needs.Provide overall product management by defining requirements, conveying release and project visions/goals, and approving developed functionality.Develop a cross organizational vision, roadmap, and appropriate tracking mechanisms foreach newinitiative (financial planning, analysis and forecasting).Create technical roadmaps and work with the development, architecture, and user experience teams to build solutions that customers and users will love.Author user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, activity diagrams, user interface wireframes, class diagrams, business rules, and rule flow diagrams.Prioritize and order functionality based on business value.Participate in an Agile development environment as a member ofa Scrum/Project team.Prepare and present business cases to justify proposed solutions and business investments.Stay up to date on the latest technology and market trends, co-author white papers, marketing materials, and industry articles that will enhance Mitchell's thought leadership.APD POAs a Product Manager you will lead the development of software-products and services that are known for their robust innovative capabilities and ease of use. In the product owner role, interfacing directly with one or more Agile Scrum teams, you will provide overall program management, define requirements, author user stories and acceptance criteria, convey release timelines, notes, goals, and approve developed functionality. You must have the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of business leaders and technologists both internal and external; with an emphasis on UX design leads and engineers/architects.You will additionally collaborate from time-to-time with other product managers, marketing teams, sales personnel, and Mitchell customers to identify new software solutions. You will work with sales engineers and service teams to communicate and train on new features and business processes.Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in an Agile development environment as a member of a Scrum Team.Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.Gather business requirements from a variety of sources, such as customers and account managers, prioritize these requirements as part of the overall product roadmap, and work with the development, architecture, and user experience teams to build great solutions that users and buyers will love.Conduct customer, market, and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and unmet user needs.Develop User Stories with Acceptance Criteria, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, UI Wireframes, Class Diagrams, Business Rules, and Rule Flow Diagrams.Prioritize and order functionality based on business value.Do whatever else it takes to make your solution successful with a strong sense of accountability.CSGThe Program Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of products and services for Mitchells customers. This position guides and manages cross-functional teams internally and externally to deliver defined business requirements on time and with quality. The Program Manager plans, organizes, monitors and controls multiple projects at a time, coordinating customer, vendor and internal resource involvement through the life of the project, including:Project Initiation:Review and refine project scopeEstablish the cross-functional project teamConduct internal and external kick-off meetingsEstablish project management standards and guidelines for the projectProject Planning:Create a schedule outlining the sequence of activities and tasks on the projectDefine all quality assurance and quality control proceduresProduce a risk management plan to identify and mitigate likely project risksDocument the customer acceptance criteria for each project deliverableEstablish communications plan for the projectProject Execution:Maintain the project plan to keep those involved informed of progress against the scheduleEnsure adequate quality assurance and quality control techniques are undertaken to meet the quality targets specifiedManage project changesManage project risks and mitigation plansCoordinate the resolution of project issuesGain customer acceptance of each deliverable produced by the projectUndertake communication processes as specified in the Communications Plan, including project status reportingProject Closing:Conduct formal project closing activities internally and externally, including Post Implementation Review Qualifications: APD - PMEducation: A bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or related field is preferred. MBA is desirable. GPA of 3.0 or higher.2 years of work experience.A background of product management preferably in the software industry.Candidate is expected to be highly self-directed in identifying and prioritizing personal deliverables in order to meet internal and external commitments.Expertise in owning business case, research, needs validation, sizing, requirements, positioning, and pricing strategies for a product.Must have demonstrated excellent business judgment and strategic aptitude.Experience conducting market research and identifying business development opportunities required.The ability to interact and form trusting relationships with internal and external customers from a variety of background and experiences.Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with attention and focus on details.Ability to lead, negotiate, persuade, and compromise.Superior written communication and presentation skills required.Experience working with sales and service in a software organization.Experience in Agile software development environment preferred.Technical software/programming experience is a plus.APD POEducation: A bachelor degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
