As a Financial Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Electrification Business area in US, benchmarking KPIs while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business.

Reporting to the Business Financial Analyst, you will study business performance, including financial modelling to forecast the impacts and risks, and recommend areas for continuous improvement.



Your responsibilities

  • Analysis of both P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts, with emphasis on variance to budget and detecting abnormalities in general ledger activity
  • Master data maintenance for both vendor and customer records as needed
  • Procurement management via SAP purchase requisitions
  • Capital asset management, including requisitioning, tracking, capitalizing assets in a timely fashion and assisting with periodic physical inventories
  • Compile project data from various sources and analyze run rates against budgets
  • Coach, train and assist managers and researchers on financial policies and practices
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Assist with response to audit requirements
  • Assist with cost center budget preparation and analysis
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze periodic forecast data
  • Review and analyze financial performance; provide guidance and initiate preventative and corrective actions when needed to drive compliance with company policies, laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles



Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline and a minimum 2 years of accounting / finance experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including v-lookups, pivot tables and macros preferred.
  • SAP Experience with emphasis on FICO and PS modules is preferred.
  • U.S. Federal Government Contract Accounting experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated history of professional and ethical standards.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
