Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant - 100% Remote

About the Company and Opportunity:

  • Our client is a nonprofit global health organization headquartered in Washington, DC. Looking to hire a Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant starting immediately. This position starts in contract with a pay rate of $35 - $40 an hour and for the right candidate will become a permanent role.
  • This is a 100% remote role but for local candidates, might become a hybrid role. If the candidate is not local they can continue working remotely (office is located in Washington DC).

Overview of the Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant role:

  • Tasks will include managing a portfolio of financial reports for projects to ensure proper reporting in compliance with donor agreements and related regulations, and timely submission.
  • Prepare journal entries, with consideration for US GAAP, the organization's donor reporting requirements, and potential financial exchange risk.
  • Complete financial project closeouts in Lawson.
  • Provide assistance with internal or external audit requirements as required.

Preferred Qualifications for the Donor Revenue & Reporting (DRR) Accountant:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related experience.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience in financial reporting, non-profit or public accounting.
  • International Nonprofit experience is a PLUS
  • Strong Excel
  • Lawson experience is a PLUS
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, expert Excel user, including pivot tables and advanced functions, familiarity with data query tools helpful
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
