• This Cost Analyst is responsible to optimize, and enhance the overall production cost cycle.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis: standard costs, capital projects, cost savings programs, month-end closings, working capital management and other related initiatives / activities.
• Monitor manufacturing financial performance
• Report financial status at the corporate level via consolidated forecasts, results reporting, and variance analyses
• Assist in cost valuation of products in inventory for accuracy by reviewing Bill of Materials (BOMs), labor, routings and material purchases.
• Analyze capital expenditures to optimize resource allocation.
• Review daily audit reports of changes to product structure, routing, and PO prices.
• Estimate costs of new products and proposed changes to existing products.
• KPI preparation and analysis.
• Cost standard development for material, labor and overhead.
• Distribute annual transfer prices to all the foreign divisions.
• Work with the annual auditors to complete all audit work in cost and inventory.
• Assist with conducting year-end inventory.Preferred Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
• BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA a plus
• CPA a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Software Greenscreen but not a must
