Reprise Biomedical is seeking a GL Accountant/Sr. Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role you will support monthly financial closing processes and other routine accounting functions and maintain and improve current accounting systems and inventory management processes.

We prefer candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Successful candidates will possess, at a minimum, two years of experience processing accounting transactions including AR and AP, month-end close, reconciling accounts, calculating, recording and documenting journal entries, responding to audit requests, and filing sales and use tax. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, and exposure to budgeting and variance analysis or the calculation of use tax strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will reside in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. Relocation assistance will not be provided.

Job Requirements:
  • complete account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • review general ledger detail to identify incorrect charges and post reclassification entries
  • record and reconcile inventory transfers and adjustments
  • identify routine costs, such as rent, and record required month-end journal entries
  • participate in the month-end close process
  • predict, plan and record variable costs
  • prepare reports/data for sales and use taxes and to meet other statutory filing needs
  • assist with corporate and tax registrations
  • document procedures for core accounting functions and maintain transactional documentation
  • refine procedures and update formal business processes to reflect changing practices or systems
  • assist with audit requests
  • review and analyze costs compared to standard costs, identifying inaccuracies
  • support the budgeting process including the roll-up of departmental budgets
  • create monthly departmental spending reports and analyze budget variances
