Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Accounting Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information by the designated deadlines
  • Identify issues by recommending GAAP solutions to management
  • Responsible for general ledger and the reconciliation of the GL accounts
  • Fixed asset processing and reporting by the required deadlines
  • Maintain bank accounts by requesting disbursements
  • Review bank statements
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies
  • Auditing and verifying documents
  • Following internal controls
  • Completing data backups as required for the role
  • Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis
  • Assist with the accounts payable and accounts receivable process
  • Ability to establish new procedures/processes in a constantly changing and expanding environment
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, managers and external accounting service groups
  • Effectively multi-task and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Successfully interact with all levels of staff and management
  • Maintain competency through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest industry developments
  • Special projects as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • 3 years’ Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products required
  • Multi-entity experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding and exposure to GAAP required
  • Working knowledge of financial statement preparation and presentation required
  • Must be able to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policy, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required and a high degree of initiative and flexibility required to successfully accommodate deadlines
  • Superior problem-solving ability and ability to work with minimal supervision while exercising sound and independent judgment
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
