The Revenue Cycle Training and Quality Assurance Analyst ensures patiant and financial data is accurate and completes as a result of staff adhering to expected workflows, internal policies, and external regulations and requirements. This team member performs quality monitoring activities and, as necessary, develops and provides training across the revenue cycle. The coordinator keeps directors and managers informed of quality monitoring results, identified training needs, and staff education progress.
The Revenue Cycle Training and Quality Assurance Analyst Position reports directly to MGBO Executive Director or Director.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Identifying, developing, and implementing relevant revenue cycle training programs.
Review and complete revenue cycle quality audits for Claims, AR, Coding Denials, Variance, Payment Posting, teams. Documenting performance deficiencies and makes training recommendations based on audit results.
Impact of this role in the organization:
This role will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of charge capture, billing, and collections activities ensuring our patients received quality account review and escalation, reducing the customer service questions related to billing. This role will allow our team to become more in sync and consistent on the resolution of accounts for all WMG.
Required Minimum Education:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. (8-12 years of experience can replace degree preference.)
Required Minimum Experience:
Five to Seven years of revenue cycle experience.
Epic Workbench/Clarity/Cubes reporting experience.
Experience developing, creating, and implementing training program and documents.
Quality Assurance Audit experience preferred.
Required Minimum Certification:

Computer/data entry experience.
Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team.
Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge. Epic experience preferred.
Familiarity with best practices and policies throughout revenue cycle.
Comfortable explaining revenue cycle best practices, internal policies, and regulatory topics and compliance requirements.
Ability to prioritize assignments while meeting deadlines.
Proficient in use of Epic, Microsoft Office Suite, cubes, other reporting tools.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Detail-oriented, good organizational skills, and ability to be self-directed.
Ability to learn quickly and meet continuous timelines.
Strong time management skills, managing multiple priorities and a heavy workload in a high-stress atmosphere.
Demonstrated flexibility to perform other tasks as needed in an active work environment with changing work needs.
