You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assist entity leadership to be fiscally responsible.
  • Assist entity leadership with managing departmental expense/unit of service to budget and labor productivity.
  • Compile entity Financial Statements and Physician Incentive Bonuses—organize and maintain systems of electronic files to calculate provider net revenue, provider compensation and various expenses resulting in the production of accurate, accrual-based, P&L statements for 100+ PE departments in collaboration with regional Accounting.  Prepare financial and/or compensation-related reports with appropriate support for PE providers.  Calculate accruals for provider and staff bonuses.
  • Provide support for PE Network and Practice Operating Councils with items such as provider productivity, staff performance, and expense management.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget, including working with the budget software system (BOP) for both hospital and clinic departments.  This includes creating reports and working with workbooks in BOP, querying the Physician Enterprise Dashboard (PED) and completing budget templates as assigned.
  • Prepare pro formas for capital expenditure requests and physician services providers.
  • Track and report status of capital spending versus capital allocation.
  • Create ad hoc reports utilizing financial and cost reporting software program (HPM and BOP), including product line reports for both hospital and clinic departments.
  • Database Analysis and Pro-forma Modeling—Perform practice, department, and provider-level analyses requested by management, such as related to RVUs, provider-based benefits, pro forma financial statements, and break-even points.  Communicate potential operational improvements, cost savings and enhancements in internal controls, identified during special projects in the course of performing monthly duties.  Work with finance team to develop revenue- and cost-sharing models that contribute to the growth of provider practices or settle disputes related to perceived inequities among providers who share office expenses.
  • Backup or stand in for directors at standing and ad hoc meetings such as Capital Expenditure Meetings, meetings with business line directors, office leader meetings, provider onboarding meetings and ambassador duty.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Two years’ related work experience

Job Summary:

Supports decision-making by entity leadership by providing financial analysis and reporting.  This includes tasks such as the day-to-day management of financial reporting software, preparing budgets and generating data from multiple software programs.  This also includes completing analysis and journal entries while meeting deadlines to help finalize monthly financials.
